A few simple steps to use windows registry edits to get rid of those unappealing arrow icon masks.
Click the Start Menu , Or use Windows + R and Type regedit into the search box and Press Enter.
Browse to the following registry
If the Shell Icons key does not exist you’ll need to create it. To do so Right-Click the Explorer key and Select New > Key.
Right or Double-Click the 29 entry to modify it. In the value data box enter the following: C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll,50
Click OK and Restart the system. You are now free of arrows.
